Faizullah Khan, a senior journalist affiliated with Pakistan’s mainstream media, has long observed jihadist groups in the Pakistan-Afghanistan region, particularly al- Qaeda’s local networks. His 2016 book, Durand Line ke Qaidī (Prisoner of the Durand Line), chronicles his six-month imprisonment by the former Afghan government in 2014 during a trip to interview senior Pakistani Taliban leaders. The book offers both personal reflections and critical insights into Pakistan’s anti-state jihadist landscape.
